Robson Reid Brand Identity, Website and Digital Infrastructure
Robson Reid is a multidisciplinary professional services business bringing together three specialist areas: Accountancy and Advisory, Profiling and Investigations, and Digital Infrastructure.
We were brought in at the beginning to develop a complete brand and digital presence that could unite these very different services under one clear, credible identity.
The project grew to include brand strategy, visual identity, service sub-branding, comprehensive brand guidelines, website design and development, email signatures, digital assets, technical implementation and the supporting compliance framework required for launch.
Client: Robson Reid
Sector: Professional Services | Accountancy | Investigations | Digital Infrastructure
The Challenge
Robson Reid presented an unusual branding challenge.
The business combines three specialist disciplines that need to communicate very different areas of expertise, while still feeling part of one organisation.
Accountancy and Advisory needed to feel established, analytical and commercially focused.
Profiling and Investigations required a more discreet, considered identity appropriate for sensitive and complex work.
Digital Infrastructure needed to communicate technical expertise, security and resilience.
Creating three completely separate identities would have fragmented the organisation. Making every service look identical would have removed the individuality each area required.
The challenge was to create a visual system flexible enough to give each service its own character while maintaining a strong and recognisable Robson Reid master brand.
Building the Robson Reid Identity
The identity was developed around a restrained and professional visual language designed to communicate confidence without appearing overly corporate.
At the centre of the brand is a bespoke RR monogram, created as a recognisable graphic device that could work independently from the full Robson Reid name.
The wider identity combines refined typography, a controlled neutral palette and a flexible system of supporting colours.
This created a brand capable of working across everything from formal documents and digital interfaces to marketing materials and website content.
One Brand. Three Specialist Areas.
A key part of the identity was the development of a clear sub-branding system for Robson Reid’s three services.
Each specialist area was given its own colour and geometric identifier:
◆ Accountancy and Advisory
Represented by a diamond and deep indigo.
■ Profiling and Investigations
Represented by a rounded square and warm green.
● Digital Infrastructure
Represented by a circle and electric teal.
These devices allow each service to communicate independently while retaining a strong visual connection to the wider Robson Reid identity.
The result is a system that helps users immediately understand which area of the business they are engaging with without creating three separate brands.
Creating a Brand System
Rather than designing a logo in isolation, we developed a complete brand system that could be consistently applied as Robson Reid grew.
Comprehensive brand guidelines were created covering:
- Primary and secondary logo usage
- Minimum sizes and clear space
- Logo restrictions
- Typography
- Core and supporting colour palettes
- Service-specific colours
- Geometric service identifiers
- Sub-branding applications
- Layout principles
- Supporting graphic elements
The guidelines provide a practical framework for future marketing, digital development, presentations and communications.
Designing the Website
Once the identity had been established, the brand system was translated into a complete new website.
The aim was not simply to create an attractive site. The website needed to explain a relatively complex organisation quickly and clearly.
Visitors needed to understand that Robson Reid offers three distinct specialist services while also recognising the expertise and values connecting them.
The homepage therefore introduces the organisation through the three service areas before allowing users to explore each discipline in greater depth.

A Distinctive Digital Experience for Each Service
The visual system developed during the branding process carries directly into the website.
Each service page uses its own colour and geometric device while retaining the same navigation, typography, layouts and underlying design language.
This provides individuality without compromising consistency.
Accountancy and Advisory
The Accountancy and Advisory service uses the deep indigo identity to create a confident and established feel.
Content is structured around practical support, financial clarity and long-term business decision-making, with direct access to the Robson Reid Client Portal.
Profiling and Investigations
Profiling and Investigations uses the warm green identity and a more considered visual tone.
The service deals with sensitive and often complex situations, so the design needed to communicate discretion, intelligence and professional judgement without becoming cold or intimidating.
Digital Infrastructure
Digital Infrastructure uses the electric teal identity to differentiate the technical side of the organisation.
The design combines the wider Robson Reid visual language with imagery and messaging focused on security, resilience and practical technical support.
More Than a Website
The project extended beyond the visible design of the site.
A professional digital presence relies on the systems and details behind it working properly too.
Alongside the website we developed and implemented supporting elements including:
- Client Portal integration
- Contact and enquiry forms
- Spam protection and form security
- Cookie consent management
- Privacy and cookie policy implementation
- Website Terms of Use
- Legal and Regulatory information
- Data handling considerations for website submissions
- SSL and technical website configuration
- Domain and website migration support
- Email signature design and development
- WordPress administration and launch support
Where legal and compliance documentation was involved, our role was to structure, implement and integrate the required information within the website and user journey.
This ensured that the finished project worked as a complete professional digital system rather than simply a collection of branded pages.
Consistency Beyond the Website
The Robson Reid identity was also extended into day-to-day communications.
Custom HTML email signatures were designed and built to ensure that outgoing email communications reflected the same level of consistency as the website and wider brand.
The identity system was created to work across future stationery, reports, presentations, marketing materials and digital applications as the organisation develops.
The aim throughout was to establish a flexible foundation rather than create a set of fixed assets that would quickly become restrictive.
The Result
Robson Reid launched with a complete brand and digital presence capable of supporting three very different specialist services within one coherent organisation.
The finished system provides:
- A distinctive and credible master brand
- Clear differentiation between three specialist service areas
- A comprehensive set of brand guidelines
- A flexible visual system capable of evolving with the organisation
- A professional and responsive website
- Consistency across web, email and digital communications
- Clear user journeys for clients and prospective clients
- A technical and compliance framework supporting the public-facing website
Most importantly, the brand now has the structure to grow.
New communications, services and digital materials can be developed within an established system rather than having to reinvent the visual language each time.
Robson Reid is therefore not simply a logo or website project. It is an example of how thoughtful branding, digital design and technical implementation can work together to create a complete and credible business presence.
